Organizational and human resources management in higher education involves understanding and implementing policies, practices, procedures, and structures that support institutional effectiveness. This competency requires a keen awareness of the dynamics of organizational behavior and the ability to manage resources efficiently. Over the years, I have honed my skills in this area by participating in training programs and leading various initiatives that required strategic planning and resource allocation. I have developed and assessed policies that streamline operations and enhance employee satisfaction. My growth in this competency is evident in my ability to navigate complex organizational structures, foster a positive work environment, and ensure that our practices align with institutional goals and regulatory requirements.
This paper demonstrates the competency of assessing organizational and human resources by thoroughly evaluating various aspects of team leadership. It identifies strengths and areas for improvement through a comprehensive feedback survey involving supervisors, board members, and staff. This 360-degree review highlights key performance indicators such as communication, organizational skills, empathy, adaptability, and decision-making. The detailed self-reflection and feedback analysis provide insights into effective leadership practices and areas needing development, where I demonstrate a clear understanding of organizational dynamics and human resource management .

DownloadThis paper addresses the competency of assessing organizational and human resources by identifying and analyzing weaknesses in governance at the Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College (CFBC). It highlights specific issues such as the lack of clear delineation of roles, ineffective decision-making processes, and gaps in risk management and compliance. Through a detailed examination of these deficiencies, the paper outlines the negative impacts on the institution, including diminished educational quality, financial instability, and reputational damage. As a follow up to this paper I have worked on proposing targeted reforms and leadership development programs, while providing a thorough understanding of policies, practices, procedures, and structures necessary for effective organizational management.
